Accessibility statement
Last updated: 2026-05-28
GLPZoom is committed to digital accessibility. We design, build, and maintain this site to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, aligned with ADA Title III and Section 508. Accessibility is not a one-time audit, it is an ongoing commitment.
Conformance status
We declare partial conformance to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partial conformance” means most content meets the standard, with documented exceptions listed below that we are actively remediating.
What we have done
- Semantic HTML: all pages use proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions (header, nav, main, footer), and ARIA labels where native semantics fall short.
- Keyboard navigation: every interactive element is reachable and operable via keyboard. Focus indicators are visible at all times (no
outline: nonewithout a replacement). - Color contrast: body text meets WCAG AA contrast (4.5:1) against background. Large text and UI components meet 3:1. Our muted gray palette is calibrated to OKLCH lightness 0.32 minimum on cream backgrounds.
- Alt text: every meaningful image carries descriptive alt text. Decorative images use
alt="". - Form labels: every form control has a programmatic label (visible or via
aria-label/aria-labelledby). Errors are announced. - Motion preferences: animations respect
prefers-reduced-motion. No automatic carousels or flashing content. - Tested with assistive tech: VoiceOver (macOS, iOS), NVDA (Windows), TalkBack (Android), and keyboard-only navigation.
Known issues
We track outstanding accessibility issues openly. Current known gaps:
- Interactive US state map on coverage pages: tile color is the only differentiator. We are adding text-content fallback labels and a tabular alternative; target fix Q3 2026.
- Cost-over-time chart: SVG chart lacks a tabular alternative for screen-reader users. Tabular fallback in progress; target fix Q3 2026.
- Some embedded PDFs: a small number of legacy PDF attachments lack tagged structure. We are re-tagging or replacing with HTML equivalents on rolling basis.
Compatibility
GLPZoom is tested against the latest two versions of:
- Safari + VoiceOver (macOS, iOS)
- Chrome + ChromeVox (desktop)
- Firefox + NVDA (Windows)
- Edge + Narrator (Windows)
- Chrome + TalkBack (Android)
We do not actively test against Internet Explorer, which has been end-of-life since June 2022. Some content may not render correctly.
Technical specifications
GLPZoom relies on the following technologies for accessibility:
- HTML5 with ARIA 1.2 where needed
- CSS for presentation, JavaScript progressively enhanced
- Content remains functional with JavaScript disabled for the majority of read flows
Request an accommodation
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, or need information in an alternative format, contact us at accessibility@glpzoom.com. Please include:
- The URL of the page where you encountered the issue
- A description of the problem and the assistive technology you use
- How you would prefer we respond
Target response time: 3 business days. Material remediation timeline depends on complexity but we will keep you updated.
Enforcement
If you believe we have not satisfied your accessibility request, you may file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice under ADA Title III, or contact your state attorney general. We would prefer to resolve concerns directly first.
Approval & review cycle
This statement was last reviewed on the date above and is reviewed at least every 12 months. Material site changes (new features, redesigns) trigger an immediate accessibility audit before launch.
